The interior design of your house may sometimes look boring because you see it everyday. If you want the interior of your home make a difference, you must redecorate it like change the color, change the furniture, change the decor, change the curtains and etc.

Sometimes, when you say home decorating or redecorating, it can be a very tedious job. Here are some simple decorating ideas that you can follow:

1. Home architectural design
   Begin your home decorating plan with your home’s architectural design. Make sure that it will not go against your home’s design. For example, cottage type homes look great when decorated with a more casual country decor with floral, checks, linen, cotton and cheery colors. Go with your home’s design and  surroundings and you’ll be well on your way to creating a natural, well balanced, inviting atmosphere throughout.
2. Color
   The color scheme of your house should be in harmony with the things in it. Choose perhaps three to five colors to spread throughout your rooms and make sure that each room has at least one of the three to five colors you have chosen in it in order to create a comfortable, harmonious and balanced appearance. Be sure to use a high quality, gloss or semi-gloss paint to make cleaning easy.
3. Furnitures
   When it come to furtniture placement, it is wrong to think that they should be shoved against the wall at all times. You can group your furnitures to create a sitting area, conversation area or reading area. This will create a more intimate  atmosphere.  Keep the chairs about 18″ away from the window in order for the drapes to hang easily and to be able to walk behind the chairs to open and close the windows.
4. Knick- knacks and accessories
   Knick-knacks and accessories should be keep to a minimum to prevent clutter and overcrowding. Always used odd number of accessories and group them together.
5. Accent fabrics
   One of the simplest ways to add color, balance and texture to a room is to use different colored accent fabrics in your curtains, decorative pillows, throws, runners and rugs but don’t get carried away with it.
